This is the fourth edition of a two-days seminar organized at Miguel Hernández University of Elche by the "Optimization and Stability" research group (see the Orginizing Committee) since 2007. The three-days edition of 2010 is dedicated to Professor Marco A. López (father of the group) on occasion of his 60th birthday.

The seminar/workshop basically consists of invited talks, with no parallel sessions, with the aim of establishing contacts and augmenting the background of the group in the tools and techniques of optimization and variational analysis, as well as related topics like vector optimization, generalized differentiation, and functional analysis, among others.

In this edition we have also organized a poster session for all these colleagues and friends willing to participate and show their appreciation and recognition to Prof. López, and to whom unfortunately we have not been able to invite. The poster session will be open the whole workshop in the coffee-break room.
